It is only natural that swinging — and of course swingers — is
constantly under scrutiny because people are simply trying to
understand this new lifestyle. It happened with a lot of other new
lifestyles before, and as the time went by they ended up being
understood and accepted. Some lifestyles or cultural groups are still
under the same microscope and can sometimes found themselves being
misunderstood. This is exactly what happens with swinging these days.
It is no secret that some people think of swinging as one big sex
party with no strings attached. What they don’t understand is that

The way I see it, misconceptions towards swinging happened because
most people in the general population refuse to get to know this
lifestyle further; they jumped to prejudiced conclusions a bit too
fast without seeing all the facts. Swinging don’t really fit with what
they are believing for many generations indeed, and change is always
hard to accept especially when people don’t try to learn and
understand changes.
Will swinging be misunderstood for years to come? No one can really
tell for sure. But more and more people are attracted to swinging;
this is always a great sign, and we will be seeing a lot of
developments for sure.
